McKenna was raised on the family farm, south of Wayne, Nebraska, where they feed cattle, raise corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. McKenna attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where she studied Livestock Production and Management and was a member of the Nebraska Beef Industry Scholars program. During college, McKenna worked for Louis-Dreyfus Commodities where she helped with crop tours and had two internships with Producers Hybrids, where she was introduced to the seed industry. McKenna joined The Seed Source team in January of 2018. In her free time, McKenna enjoys helping on the family farm, backgrounding her own cattle, spending time with her family, and babying her dog, Belle.
